Often we are so busy with doing or solving things, consumed by action, social media and noise, outside of us and in our own minds, that it becomes a way of life. There are so many ways of escaping the hustle bustle, but embracing stillness and silence is more powerful in the reduction of stress and anxiety. A daily practice of meditation, walking and being in touch with Nature has a transformative power and brings balance and inner quietude. This cultivates a stillness the mind-body complex can maintain amidst chaos or distractions. Being a multi-tasker and coping with constant stimulation may be an art, but can be exhausting. What matters to the body is to be mindful, live in the present, savor the richness of life, not weighed down by the past or future anxieties. How often do you check in into your own self, connecting to your Higher self, and take note of what matters most to you?
