Stress is something that is experienced by everyone at different levels, each of us with our own ways of dealing with it. Our circumstances, interactions and environmental factors can either augment or decrease our response to stress. Amid the chaos of existence, fostering peace within becomes paramount. Tranquility, calmness, and serenity emerge when we take ownership of our well-being.
In a world strife and turmoil, we often seek solace externally, only to find ourselves disillusioned. Yet, the path to true fulfillment requires an inward journey—a connection to the peace from our Higher self, the essence that is untouched by external factors.
Meditating on a regular basis is a secure way of maintaining a state of calm under all circumstances. Many believe it is very difficult to meditate...on the contrary- once the body gets a ¨taste¨ of the peace within, meditation becomes a way of life.
With practice, we can respond calmly to all contrary forces, misunderstandings and bad will with a smile or quiet detachment. As I often remind my children when they get agitated...¨why allow anything or anyone steal your peace?¨
To enjoy the delight of existence and be the best citizens of earth, we have to embrace everything about our individual self so that we can authentically share joy with others.
